And I'll probably touch on it at some point although the "X" blog really does a great job summing up that series, You are right, though, Red Circle was snuffed out to soon and when it became Archie Adventures it lacked in quality (with a few exceptions). This tale definitely is NOT your mother's Ditko, that's for sure.Doppelgängerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06959786797239089696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5751871185517688371.post-68834126309209248052010-05-20T18:55:26.304-07:002010-05-20T18:55:26.304-07:00I actually had that issue of The Fly from the Red ...I actually had that issue of The Fly from the Red Circle series of the 80's. Because Rich Buckler is inking, it doesn't remotely resemble a typical Ditko tale of the period. Not even close.

I had gotten all caught up with all of the Red Circle/Archie Adventure books before the line was quietly dissolved. The Archie Adventure line was rebooted when they started running a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series based on the TV show of the time, but it just wasn't the same.hobbyfanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08089664500077967952noreply@blogger.com
